What is SaaS?
Short for Software as a Service, SaaS is a software delivery method that provides access to software and its functions remotely as a Web-based service. It is increasingly referred to as cloud computing or as a hosted solution. Essentially we are describing the business model that allows organisations to gain the benefit of using technology without purchasing it.
SaaS has become a popular model for the Contact Centre, offering a number of financial, operational and security drivers that make this business model even more compelling.
Rather than paying huge cap-ex for premise-based technology, a hosted solution utilises your existing infrastructure and allows agents to log in from any location at any time – all they require is a phone line, a PC and an internet connection. All your data is securely stored in our data centre, and provided to you via the cloud. And because we are providing you with a service, rather than technology, costs are on a per-agent per-month basis, and no additional charges for maintenance or upgrades are required. This allows you to have greater flexibility and control, with real-time visibility and reporting.
“Premier Contact Point satisfies the varying requirements from the smallest contact centre to the largest enterprise contact centre because they are able to leverage the specific functionality that each of their individual customer's demand. Most importantly, they are providing a way for businesses to leverage the capabilities of a complete contact centre solution with minimal complexity and initial capital costs."
